Here’s a challenge to check off your bucket list in aid of Childline by ISPCC !

Take on the Irish Life Dublin Marathon 2022, set to take place on Sunday 30th October 2022.

Childline by ISPCC is calling upon runners across the country and beyond to step up for children and young people in Ireland by going the extra mile in the Irish Life Dublin Marathon in aid of Childline by ISPCC.

The national child protection charity is asking supporters to have their runners at the ready, don the distinctive purple Childline t-shirt and join team Childline on the day, to help raise much-needed funds. Childline relies on corporate and public support for over 75 per cent of its funding.

Childline receives approx. 5,000 online contacts, phone calls and texts every week from children and young people who turn to the service for support in relation to all sorts of issues. Those who make contact may feel lonely, hurt, upset, or afraid. They may have seen or experienced things no child should ever have to. Or they may simply wish to talk. In recent months, strains in family relationships, anxiety and mental health difficulties and abuse and violence have been among the topics children and young people have spoken about with Childline most often. 

Childline relies on donations for 75 per cent of its funding. Public support for our service is vital. We are hugely grateful to all of those who in any way help to keep Childline listening.

No experience is necessary, but a lot of training and preparation may be required.

Over 18’s only / no experience necessary. Places are limited; Fundraising Target: €1,500 (incl. €200 non-refundable deposit) is required of all participants. All proceeds raised will go directly to supporting Childline by ISPCC.
